Introduction

Andrew is obsessed with freckles!  He thinks that his mother will not be able to tell if his neck is dirty if he only had freckles.  Andrew is so desperate to get freckles that he buys a secret recipe for "freckle juice", with some funny results!

This WebQuest will help you learn more about the book Freckle Juice , learn about freckles, and develop your own recipe for Freckle Juice.

 

 

 

The Task

Your task is to find out as much as you can about the book Freckle Juice.  Some of the activities you will do include:

·        Research the author of Freckle Juice, Judy Blume.  Find out where she got the idea to write the book.

·        Learn the meanings of vocabulary words from the book by playing a concentration game online.

·        Learn about freckles--What causes them?  Are they harmful?  Can you get rid of them?  

·        Make your own recipe for Freckle Juice.  Why did you choose the ingredients you included?

 

 

 

The Process

Step One

          Research the author of Freckle Juice, Judy Blume.  Find out where she got the idea for Freckle Juice.

 

Step Two

          Learn the meanings of vocabulary words from the book.  This Concentration game will help you!

 

Step Three

          Check out this website about freckles.  Learn what causes them and if you can really get rid of them.

 

Step Four

          Create your own recipe for Freckle Juice.  Tell why you chose the ingredients you did.  You will share your recipes with the class.
