Welcome to my website. I teach Economics in the
Department of Business Administration. My interest
in Economics arose out of an interest in developing
countries so I am especially interested in
International Economics and Economic Development.
As faculty
adviser to the Mission Club, I recognize that in today's world a wide
variety of skills are needed on the mission field.
For example, agricultural, health care and other fields need the
knowledge and skills of the scientific disciplines
and every organization needs the managerial and human
development skills acquired in the business
disciplines. So I encourage students from a wide
variety of disciplines to explore Trevecca'a mission
minor.
Professionally, I am a member of
the American Economic Association, the Southern
Economic Association, the Association of Christian
Economists and the Christian Business Faculty
Association and have served on the board of the
Christian Business Faculty Association.
My
personal interests include Wycliffe Associates
(which supports the work of Bible translation
worldwide), 10,000 Villages (which retails the
products of third world craftsmen and craftswomen at
fair market prices) and World Relief (which assists
in refuge resettlement). I would love to tell you
more about any of those organizations.
I am an active member of Grace Presbyterian Church,
PCA in Nashville where I serve as chairman of the
board for the church's pre-school.
